Shattered Pieces Of My Heart

"I survived one of the most difficult journeys a parent may ever have to take: the tragic death of my teenage son. For this reason, I want to share my story in hope that it may help other grieving parents find the light and courage to live life again with a piece of your heart gone forever… It depicts the actual events and the people that shared their love and support at the time of my son’s death. Through all my sorrow and questioning, I found that God does bless grieving parents with faith and hope, if we just seek help along the way.  When a child dies unexpectedly there is no reasoning that makes sense. We, as mortal souls, realize that death is a part of life, but no one is prepared for the death of a child. I was forced to embark on a journey that I was unprepared for and did not want to undertake. During my walk through the valley of grief, I faced the most profound challenge of my life. I have a desire to share my challenging journey, not that it is unique, but rather because I survived and grew closer to God as I traveled through the valley of grief and devastating loss."
