Dr. Glynn,
Congratulations on a well written book. I purchased your book as soon as I received your card, I read your book in one evening and was deeply touched and impressed with your healing process. I could not put it down, I felt as though I knew the people involved. You are in my prayers and thoughts!Norvella Williams, Ed.D.
[Shattered Pieces of My Heart]...aww the book! I received my copy last Saturday and read it on Sunday. It was awesome. I just don't think anyone could ever imagine what you've been through or what it must be like to loose a child. Your story paints a picture that is unforgettable. You are a wonderful writer and I just have to believe writing this book about your journey with Doug was a healing process for you. It is a very moving book that made me cry (alot) and laugh also...thank you for sharing your story.

As I read the beginning of the book, Shattered Pieces of my Heart, a tear rolled down my cheek. It only got harder as the book went on. But I could not put it down. Once I started, I just wanted to continue reading. It is very difficult to cope with the death of a loved one, but I'm sure it is even more difficult for a mother to cope with the death of her oldest son; especially at such a young age.
It was good that Smokey had a chapter every now and then because she brought some humor to the book as she was always in trouble. She really was just like Doug! Between the tears and the giggles every now and then, the book was amazing! Definitely one of the best books I have ever read! :)

Dear Marsha,
Yesterday I received your wonderful book in the mail, and I read it straight through at one sitting. You have my unbounded admiration, not only because of your tremendous memory and power or recall and expression, but foremost because of your amazing faith and capacity for insight. You have made a remarkable achievement here. Your whole family can and should be very proud of your accomplishment.
Reading your book brought back many memories for me of those sad and powerful days. Your book is a very special memory for me who was privileged to share in the Lord's response to your tragedy. I hope His power and grace may continue to grow in your lives as an abiding presence. Please give my prayerful best to Ray and Rob, and also to your sisters, especially Lou.
May the grace of the birth of Christ engrace you all at this time.
Sincere regards--- Father Sean Ogle
Dear Marsha,
My copy arrived yesterday, and I spent the rest of the day reading it. It's a lovely tribute to Douglas, to love, and to the power of faith to restore us. Douglas was blessed to have such a mother. I think of him often.
Love,
Mary
Marsha:
I loved your book. I would cry, then laugh, then cry again. I could feel your pain, as I read about the trials and tribulations in dealing with your son, yet the tremendous amount of love you had for him as his mother. You wrote so eloquently. You have the heart of your reader from the first page. Every mother that reads your book will find her son in there. Every mother who has lost a child will connect with you and your grief. Also, you faith through this crisis was so strong, that only God could have given you that peace and understanding. I know at the time that you did not feel it, but the way you shared it will help other grieving mothers if they read your book.
I can not begin to tell you how much the book meant to me and my journey with my own son. I know that, no matter what, I will remember to tell him every day that I love him, and to treasure every moment with him.

WOW! Your book is powerful. I read it aloud on the way to San Antonio and back so Denny could hear it too. Both of us were extremely touched by it.
The book is a must read for a lot of people I know.
You are a talented writer and a loving mom. My heart hurts for you SO much. I would not be able to imagine what you've been through had you not expressed it so vividly in your book and even then, I can only imagine.
